Report from Degeberga

On our way to Rinkaby, we stopped for some “Swedish fika“ in Degeberga.

Arup et al. (1997) reported Xanthoria calcicola as a new find (N) there (their locality no. 260). We observed thalli both on a low wall along a path inside the church yard gates (see attached photos), as well as on the outside of the church yard wall. In total, the population consists of approximately 50 thalli.

One non-invasive sample was taken for molecular study.
