Intraspecific diversity
Ibland gör man bombastiska påståenden, t.ex.: "We recognize biodiversity below the species level as worthy of preservation and hypothesize that genetic differentiation among ecologically distinct populations may be common but, in the absence of morphological differentiation, difficult to observe in lichens as well as other organisms." (Lindblom & Ekman 2007) Och det släpptes igenom både av medförfattataren och refereerna!
